Choosing the right course
REACH for Training offers over 30 nationally recognized courses across a wide range of industries. Some of our courses are aimed at entry-level roles, while other courses prepare you for leadership and even business ownership.
When choosing a course there are a number of things to consider:
- What industries are you interested in?
- What skills and knowledge do you already have?
- What delivery method suits you best?
- What will be the cost of undertaking study?
- How much time can you dedicate to your study?
- Will you be able to dedicate time to complete work placement?
- What sort of employment opportunities will be available to you on completion?
- Will the qualification provide a career pathway into something else you are interest in?
Once you have an understanding of what type of course you might enjoy, browse our Courses to find out specific information regarding entry requirements, course requirements, delivery methods and course fees.
At REACH for Training, we offer a range of study options and delivery methods.
With over 30 nationally recognized qualifications, REACH provides tertiary education in:
- Aged Care
- Community Services

- Travel and Tourism
- Hair and Beauty
All of our courses combine theoretical and practical knowledge to ensure students receive job-ready education. To provide more flexibility, REACH for Training offers some courses in a number of delivery methods.
Classroom-based training refers to training that is undertaken in the classroom with a group of students and a REACH Trainer or Assessor. It is a face-to-face delivery method that requires students to attend regular classes to undertake their course work. Although class-room based training is primarily completed within a classroom it may also include practical field trips and/or work placement.
Mixed-mode training refers to training that is undertaken through a mix of face-to-face and distance learning. Students studying by mixed-mode will have access to a REACH Trainer or Assessor to assist with their course work. Although mixed-mode training is primarily completed outside of the classroom it may require some class-room based learning or face-to-face practical exercises to be undertaken.
Work-based training refers to training completed through a work training program or an Apprenticeship or Traineeship. Students completing study through a work training program may be required to attend classroom-based training or undertake mixed-mode training as determined by their employer. Students undertaking an Apprenticeship or Traineeship will complete their course work under a national training contract. Apprentices and Trainees complete on-the-job learning while undertaking formal study through either classroom-based training or mixed-mode training. Under a national training contract, students undertaking an Apprenticeship or Traineeship must be released from their normal work duties to receive training, to be assessed and to meet with their REACH Trainer or Assessor.
